The First Pads
300 girls in Gwagwa received free sanitary pads — the project that started it all, and the moment period poverty stopped being an abstract problem.

Ushafa Follows
Momentum carried the work to Ushafa, where another 300 girls received the same support within the same month.
October 2024
A Partnership Forms
NGLB partnered with Lysha Care Foundation to distribute over 700 sanitary pads to girls in need — the first project too big to do alone.
November 2024
School Fees, Paid
Full school fees were paid for 10 girls, and 200 girls in Kuje received hygiene essentials — proof that keeping a girl in school and keeping her healthy are the same fight.
December 2024
Food Relief Launches
Recognizing that empowerment is bigger than one issue, NGLB launched a food relief program that reached over 60 families.
March 2025
Ramadan Relief
Over 200 Muslims in Abuja received food support as part of Ramadan relief efforts, growing the initiative beyond its original scope.

A Message From Our Founder
“No Girl Left Behind Initiative was born from both passion and pain.”
Growing up, I saw how many girls struggled with menstrual poverty, lacked access to education, and missed opportunities simply because they couldn't afford basic necessities. But beyond that, I also witnessed the devastating effects of poor menstrual hygiene and a lack of health awareness.
I lost a dear friend to ovarian cancer — a disease she might have survived if she'd had access to proper health education and early detection. I also have a sister who has battled ovarian cancer, and it made me realize how critical it is for young girls to understand their bodies, practice safe menstrual hygiene, and seek medical attention when necessary.
I started No Girl Left Behind Initiative to make sure that:
- No girl misses school because of period poverty.
- No girl is left in the dark about her reproductive health.
- More girls get the support, education, and opportunities they deserve.
- We create awareness on menstrual hygiene, mental health, and ovarian cancer prevention.
